Ottawa Q-Ball Softball League is an inclusive recreational softball league for GLBTQ persons and supporters that aims to refine your softball skills in a fun, safe and social environment. The only thing that is wrong is the stigma and discrimination that people who are gay, lesbian or bisexual often face. This survey study sought to assess levels of heterosexism and anti-LGBT discrimination experienced by medical students at the University of Ottawa and their comfort level in providing care to patients of gender and sexual minorities. The prevalence of such a bias in the healthcare setting constitutes an unaddressed part of the medical curriculum [ 10 , 12 ], and various degrees of homophobia and discrimination continue to be noted by both physicians and trainees [ 13 — 15 ]. The Community Suicide Prevention Group is working together to share our programs and initiatives on suicide prevention, intervention, postvention and research in the community and to identify the major gaps in information and delivery of services.
